The society holds meetings in both London and Birmingham. In addition, other activities take place from time to time to enable members to meet and discuss subjects of interest.
London meetings are now held jointly with the LRTA at the premises of the Model Railway Club, Keen House, Calshot Street, N1, 18.45 for 19.00, on the third Tuesday of each month except August. The Electric Railway Society sponsors the November meeting each year. Tea and coffee are available before the meeting.
Birmingham meetings are held jointly with LRTA and TLRS, and are on the first (note change) Saturday of the month at 14.00 at the Quinborne Community Centre, Ridgeacre Road, Birmingham, B32 2TW. West Midlands bus route number 24 takes you from Birmingham City Centre (beside St. Philip’s Cathedral) to the door in around 25 minutes. There is car parking on site but no convenient rail service.
